O.D. CHUCKING
Counter Balance Weights: integral with the chuck levers, improve holding ability over conventional chucks on all O.D. applications by reducing centrifugal losses on the jaws.
Long master jaw bearing surfaces and exceptionally strong internal parts also contribute to heavy gripping.
Slugs or Castings: hard serrated inserts with bases are available and these replace traditional hard stepped top jaws and provide:
Longer gripping length
Better part penetration
Improved gripping range
Easier change over
Better adjacent tool clearance
Bars and Small Parts: master jaw pads are available. Gripping in these pads attached directly to the noses of the master jaws:
Increased jaw force on part
Reduces “bellmouthing” jaw friction and wear
Increases accuracy
Stabilizes part closer to spindle bearings
Provides bar range with fewer changes
Provides additional tool clearance
